My Story

Hello! I'm so glad you're here. I'm a registered dietitian with a passion for helping people find peace and balance with food.

My journey into nutrition began at Clemson University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a concentration in Dietetics. Following my undergraduate studies, I completed my dietetic internship at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). I started my career as a dietitian at MUSC, a large, level one trauma center in Charleston, SC. It was there that I discovered my deep passion for behavioral health nutrition, seeing firsthand the powerful connection between what we eat and how we feel mentally. This passion eventually led me to my current role in South Florida as a dietitian at a local substance abuse treatment center.

I believe in an approach that is rooted in self-care and respect, which is why I'm a strong advocate for concepts like Healthy at Every Size (HAES) and Intuitive Eating, because true wellness is about more than just a number on a scale. My goal is to help you understand that while nutrition certainly impacts your physical health, it has a profound effect on your mental well-being too! I have extensive experience in behavioral health, including substance use disorders and eating disorders. I also have clinical expertise in gastrointestinal disorders, weight management (including lifestyle factors for those on GLP-1 medications), diabetes, sports/performance nutrition and practical skills like healthy cooking and meal planning.

When I'm not working, you can find me shark tooth hunting at the beach, getting lost in a good book, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with my husband and our sweet English bulldog, Scruggs!
